Arrest Of Unregistered Sex Offender Leads To 2 Bodies

A Utah sex offender could face charges in the deaths of two men who disappeared in late October after their bodies were unearthed at the man's home over the weekend.
Authorities discovered the gunshot-riddled bodies of Derek Davis and Chad Grijalvam, both 34, Saturday in shallow graves under a shed at the ramshackled home of Martin Nelson.

Beyond disovering that 2 men have been murdered, this contact which came about because Nelson failed to properly register may have saved the life of other potential victims. Once someone crosses the line to murder and disposal of his victims, he must be considered very dangerous.

So while there are complaints about problems with the sex offender registry, there are important reasons for why a sex offender registry is still needed.
